Q. Who/What is L & V Ventures, L.L.C?

A. L & V Ventures, L.L.C is a free apartment locating service servicing Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill N.C area. We use independent contractors to provide the free move for our clients. You must have learned about your new apartment through L & V Ventures or L & V Ventures locating service, list(ed) L & V Ventures as your locator when you visit(ed) the apartment community, the apartment community does work with locators and you sign a minimum of a 6-month lease L & V Ventures, L.L. will provide a free local move-some restrictions apply. Please write-in L & V Ventures and only L & V Ventures as your locator (not internet or a friend) on the guest card and the lease application when you visit. Once you have been approved and pay your deposit please send us a email at freemove@lvventures.com ' to schedule your free local move.  

Q. How do I qualify for the free move?

A. You must have learned about your apartment community from L & V Ventures, L.L.C or gained knowledge about the apartment community from L & V Ventures, L.L.C which prompted you to visit and lease at the community. The apartment community must currently be participating in our referral program at the time you apply. You must have listed L & V Ventures, L.L.C as your apartment locator when you visited the apartment community on the guest card and lease application. You must read and understand " Disclaimers" and "What We Move For Free".

Q. What if the apartment community is not in the L & V Ventures, L.L.C database?

A. L & V Ventures, L.L.C will not be able to move you to properties not listed on the website. You must have learned about your new apartment from the website or locating service of L & V Ventures, L.L.C.

Q. If I found the apartment community on my own, visited the community and then found it on L & V Ventures, L.L.C can I still move for free?

A. No, you must have learned about your new apartment through L & V Ventures, L.L.C unless you gained knowledge about the apartment community from L & V Ventures, L.L.C, which prompted you to visit and lease at the community.

Q. Can I move for free if I drove by an apartment community and did not visit, then, used L & V Ventures, L.L.C to learn more about the apartment community, visited and listed L & V Ventures, L.L.C as my locator?

A. Yes, as long as you gained knowledge about the apartment community from L & V Ventures, L.L.C which prompted you to visit and lease at the community.  

Q. If L & V Ventures, L.L.C has moved me in the past can I still use your services?

A. Yes, as long as you qualify, you can use L & V Ventures, L.L.C services indefinitely.

Q. Can L & V Ventures, L.L.C move me within the same property?

A. No, this is considered an on-site transfer. You must have learned about your new apartment through L & V Ventures, L.L.C. L & V Ventures, L.L.C only moves clients who qualify by using the locating service.

Q. Does the free move affect the specials that an apartment community offers?

A. No, L & V Ventures, free move offer does not affect apartment community specials like "1 Month Free", etc., nor do apartment community specials affect L & V Ventures, L.L.C services. If an apartment community suggests not to use L & V Ventures, L.L.C in order to receive their specials, please call our office right away at (919) 932-4459 and ask to speak to a manager.

Q. How do I schedule my move once my lease application has been approved at the apartment community?

A. Contact us freemove@lvventures.com, be sure to include your name, contact number, your move in date, the apartment community, and the leasing agent that you are working with. Soon after you submit it someone will contact you to confirm your move.

Q. Can L & V Ventures move me from a storage unit (house, etc.) to my new apartment?

A. Yes, if you qualify for the free move, L &V Ventures, L.L.C can move you from a storage, house, apartment, etc.

Q. What is considered a 'one man' box?

A. A 'one man' box can be handled by one person and is less than 75 pounds. It can be picked up and carried up and down the stairs to and from the moving truck by one person.

Q. What if I don’t want a free move?

A. if you qualify, but do not need to move, then L & V Ventures, L.L.C can send you a $100 cash voucher.

Q. How much notice does L & V Ventures, L.L.C need on move requests?

A. L & V Ventures, L.L.C requests a 2-week notice on move requests.

Q. What if I am moving into an apartment with a roommate who is moving from a different address, do we both get a free move?

A. No, there is only one free pickup location. Additional charges that apply include the extra pickup location and mileage. If you and a roommate live together now, both use our service to find separate new apartments, and then, both receive a free local move.

Q. Is there an extra charge for 3rd floor to 3rd floor moves?

A. No, as long as you qualify, L & V Ventures, L.L.C will move you without charging by floor.

Q. How do I let the movers know about extra items or items not listed in 'What We Move For Free'?

A. Include the specific items in the conformation email.

Q. Do the movers work every day?

A.L & V Ventures, L.L.C hires independent contractors that move Sunday through Saturday except for the following Holidays: Christmas, New Years, Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, ETC.

Q. If I have extra items what forms of payment do you accept and when do I pay?

A. C ash, checks, money orders and credit cards. Payment is expected at the time the unloading of your belongings begins.
